Each November Amy’s Attic Self Storage begins its late fall Amy Gives Back, community campaign where the staff joins forces with area leaders to bring cheer, cards and gifts to various groups and charities.
Beginning November 1, the Amy staff developed their plan to distribute ‘Thank You’ food and goodie baskets to many of our brave local first responders. On various days throughout November our local police, fire and first aid heroes will receive a surprise visit from our teams who provide baked goods and candy.
Next, our Community through Cards team will work with local schools to help write Christmas cards for various assisted living locations. “We found that many of our seniors are alone during the holidays, and this is our effort to tie the thankful hearts of local school children to those who contributed richly to our local communities” stated Jennifer Thompson, manager Amy’s Harker Heights.
Also, in concert with the efforts, our creative teams will be ramping up our Brand of The Week whereby multiple businesses, known as brands, will be highlighted through our social media and marquee outlets weekly. Thompson added “We believe our local businesses deserve more than one Saturday per year to be recognized for their efforts in keeping our local economy strong, and the holidays is a time when many will finally hit their revenue goals for the year.”
For the first time, Amy’s Attic Self Storage will publicly promote its annual “Truck Loads of Love” otherwise known as “TLL”. The TLL creator and coordinator TeriLynn Curtis, shared “Our research shows children’s toys and clothing such as coats are not delivered or delayed due to the lack of a large truck to move community contributions from donation sites to the distribution destinations. Our initiative offers local organizations the opportunity to use our moving truck for completely free of charge.”
Lastly, you will see our award-winning float in the Salado and Temple parades.

We know that transportation can be a challenge when coordinating donations, and we want to make it easier for your organization to carry out your mission. Whether you’re organizing a donation drive or need to transport items for a charity event, we are here to help.
Truck Loads of Love Details:
Free truck usage: for pick-ups and deliveries of donated goods.
Reservation required: Please contact us in advance to schedule your truck usage.
Driver requirements: A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are necessary to reserve the truck.
Additional terms: Other rules may apply, including usage time limits, and we ask that the truck be returned in the same condition it was issued (including replacing gas used).

Community Through Cards Christmas 2024
Join Amy in the Community for our Christmas 2024 Community Through Cards.
Starting Nov 12th through Dec 12th drop-off pre-made or handmade Christmas cards or create one on-site at participating locations.
Cards will be collected and delivered to residents at local retirement communities and area first responders.
